Horn Creek Trail

This is a very popular trail in the area near Turkey Creek Trail and Modoc Trail. This trail is a loop that can be ridden in either direction. There is a lake and campground within the recreation area. The trail can be accessed from outside the recreation area as well as at the boat ramp parking lot inside the park.

DIRECTIONS:

From Edgefield, take Hwy.23 south towards Modoc. Turn left on Hwy.230, and take next left at Lick Fork Recreation Area. Recreation area is on right a few miles down this road. You can park inside the Recreation area, or continue .1 mile past park entrance until road turns to dirt and park on shoulder of road. Continue down road and take next right and there is another parking spot on side of this road. There is a parking fee inside the park.

DESCRIPTION:

Singletrack loop that can be accessed at several points by intersecting fireroads. Lots of roots, some good climbs and decents and a small creek crossing or two are the highlights of this trail. Very popular trail in this area, so watch out for other riders.
