The Greenway was built on an
abandoned rail road track, and now offers several miles of
almost totally flat, car free riding. The Greenway
goes through several subdivisions and is used by many
bicycle commuters as a way to get down to the 13th Street
bridge and over into Augusta.
The Greenway has many different
users. Cyclists, dog walkers, runners, etc. all the
enjoy the Greenway, so watch your speed. This is not
the place to be training for an upcoming race.
The City of North Augusta plans
to eventually link the Greenway with the Palmetto Parkway.
