
Start at Lick Fork parking lot. Ride up the gravel road, past the fee station. Right at gate, pavement turns to gravel. left onto Horn Creek Trail. Ride a full loop and turn left when you get back to this point. Ride out of Lick Fork Recreation Area on main road. Right onto Hwy 230 (Martintown Rd). Cross Hwy 23 and Red Hill Rd. Left on USFS 628. Left on USFS 625. Right on Key Rd. Right on Turkey Rd (Gravel). Left on Hwy 283.
Rest Stop One at Wine Creek Trailhead on Hwy 283(aprox 24 miles). Ride Wine & Turkey Creek Trails. Rt on USFS 617A. Left on USFS 617. Left on Price Mill Road.
Rest stop two on Price Mill Road (aprox 38 miles). Cross bridge over Stevens Creek, left on Mt Lebanon Church Road. Left on Parksville Rd. Left on USFS 632. Right over mound, on old logging road, follow to Modoc trail. Left onto Modoc Trail. At end of Modoc trail, take left on property line clearing. Follow to end of USFS 632A and ride 632A to a right back onto USFS 632. There will be 2-way traffic on this section unless we can get permission to cross private property.
Ride back to Rest Stop 2 -and this is also Rest Stop 3 (aprox 54 miles). Left on USFS 615. Cross paved road, and ride USFS 613, ford the creek, shoulder the bike for 50 yards and get on USFS 612. Take it to a left on Hwy 283. This is now the commute to the parks. Ride 283 to Plum Branch. Right onto Hwy 28, immediate left onto Jefferson St. Left on 44. Left on Hwy 378. Left on 650, right thru the White Rock Communtiy. Left on 124. Right on 56. Straght across 378 onto Hugenot Parkway. Cross the bridge, and take a left on Sadies Last Loop (this is on the BCSP Trail) at the green box. Ride to the pavilion on the singletrack.
Ride to the Red Barn - and this is Rest Stop 5 (aprox 90 miles). Do a loop on the Lakeview Loop. Go back to Turkey Ridge Loop, and go left. Exit the Turkey Ridge Loop at a spot really close to the main park road, get on the park rd, and ride it to the skeet range entrance of the Beaver Run Trail. Ride Beaver Run, and follow the to the finish, which is around the corner, in a good sized field.
This route is tenative. We haven't even begun the process of getting persmission. But anyone can go ride the route, and let me know how long it is.
The halfway point is somewhere on USFS 632A. So Hamilton Branch SP would be a good place to camp if two days sounded better. I plan to do that soon - and get some good info on the ride.-Bill
